Generalities of the polymer: Kanecaron fibers, depending on their type, have differential characteristics in terms of the oxygen limit (LOI. Percentage of oxygen required to achieve combustion), highlighting the fact that it is a fiber that does not melt but instead carbonizes, a factor that produces a rigid surface that, after combustion, continues to provide protection. The difficult flammability is permanent, without deterioration due to the washing of the garment. This characteristic is obtained directly by the modification of the polymer during the fiber extrusion process and it is not possible to alter it during the production of spinning, weaving or finishing, as well as by the care and maintenance operations to which the garments are subsequently subjected.
